Hope you liked the April Fools!

So Girl-rat had her fun with April Fools and everything is getting back to normal at my pages. I hope you all liked the silliness! I even got some people saying that she should become a regular character...but we will have to see about that. ;)


**What's new with Ratgirl?**

Well for the past couple of months I have been extremely sick with a disease called C diff (Clostridium difficile), so a lot of my projects, commissions, and other work has been put on hold. I am starting to really recover now from my third bout of C diff and with any luck I will be completely better by the beginning of May.

As far as my work goes, I have quite a few things in different stages of planning and production. I am working down my list of commissions (thanks to everyone who has been waiting patiently), pencilling and compiling a comic book with two other wonderful artists and , doing layout for my hardcover book, and even starting a furry character themed app for iOS! My convention schedule is a little up in the air right now until I figure out where my health lies, but for sure I will be appearing at the Southern California furry convention called Califur this coming June.


**Side Projects and Sponsor events**

ACOTD (Anime Con of the Dead) -- Due to an unfortunate lack of communication, ACOTD will not be bringing its tour to Fanimecon 2012. Though we are slated to be at Kin-Yoobi Con 2012, and have tentative plans for expansion! Stay tuned to this news page as well as my website (www.ratgirlproductions.com) as the signups will begin soon for our undead horde volunteers!

F.A.M.E. (Fan-culture, Art and Media Exhibition) -- For anyone who is curious, I have been heading plans for a new type of convention. While we are not officially divulging more details for the convention other than the name at this time, we have made a placeholder page at Facebook for anyone who wants to stay in the know! Our board members and other staff are becoming well formed so more information should be coming to that page soon.

I am a character designer with some training in classical animation. I was born and raised in Northern California and I like it here. Anime and Anthropomorphic styles have heavily influenced my drawings and many of my original characters are depicted in those styles.

I am also the founder and artist of Ratgirl Productions. Through my business I make convention and gallery appearances, create original works to sell, and do freelance commission work.
